Unexpected visitors
I returned home relatively early (8.30pm is considered early nowadays) to find Ba’ah’s car missing and sabre23t, Ba’ah’s schoolmate and my blog reader as well as my Farmville neighbour smiling at me from the living room.

.
Mama then informed me that Ba’ah was out to fetch Howard Yamaguchi (Ba’ah’s friend who also reads my blog and Mama’s Farmville neighbour) and his wife, Pat from the LRT station in Kelana Jaya.
My first thought was, “What? A Farmville gathering???”
Anyway, it turned out that sabre23t also knows Howard (they’re Farmville neighbours too!) and since Howard happens to be in Malaysia for a short while, they decided to meet each other.
Interestingly enough, my grandpa (who happens to be here in Setia Alam too) knows one Japanese guy in Kelantan who is very familiar to Howard, who was a Peace Corps member, working for the Kemubu irrigation project in Kelantan back in 1970s. What a small world!
And… Howard spoke Malay to my grandpa with a bit of Kelantanese slang! Howard can kkecek Kelate!!!
We had a simple dinner supper bought from Ayamas (we still don’t have a proper kitchen here!
) and sabre23t brought a cappuccino cheesecake (my favourite cheesecake) from Secret Recipe for dessert.

.
Howard and his wife, Pat…

.
Howard, a hydraulic engineer, gauging the dimension of the cake and fussing on how to divide and cut the it into equally sized slices.

.
It was very nice to meet them both.
Howard, you can be my neighbour on Farmville (though I’ve actually stopped farming for a while).
Sabre23t, thanks for the cake. Loved it!

I loved your blog about meeting Howard and Pat. Howard is one of my Farmville neighbors, and he and Pat are my Singletree neighbors in Michigan. They are wonderful neighbors.
Your cake looks delicious.
